Reading is vital if children want to succeed in their studies, therefore, parents ought to help their kids become excited about learning how to read and encourage their development in reading skills.

Parents play a vital role in their child’s development and are often keen to be hands on when it comes helping them improve their education. Looney Tunes – Syllabus Outline

Allow me to clarify what happens in a lesson briefly to begin with. Each lesson contains four consecutive stages: The Letter Sound Stage, the Listening Stage, the Reading stage and the Speed Stage. During the first stage, the Letter Sound, the child learns about phonic letter sounds with Professor Wizbot. In the second stage, the Listening, the child learns phonic word blending, such as It & Mit. The third stage involves reading, here the child learns how to read individual word and sentences. During the final stage, Speed Read, the child rehearses all the phonics they’ve learned in the previous stages; they are expected to recognise them as quickly as possible so that their brains can master decoding – an essential skill for reading. After completing all four stages, the child receives a progress report that clearly highlights their strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to select future lessons accordingly. What you do with your child is entirely up to you after this, for instance, you can repeat lessons or move on to the next one if they are doing well. Looney Tunes Phonics is a flexible programme, designed to meet the individual needs of each child.

You need access to an internet to be able to use the syllabus; it’s better to have high speed internet, although it’s not essential. You can reduce the amount of time your children spend watching the Looney Tunes amusement between the academic segments if you don’t have enough time or your internet speed is too low.

Looney Tunes Phonics combines a healthy amount of lively content so that the amusement part of the course is intensified. It takes longer to load the lessons that present fresh and lively stories at first compared to others. It is advisable to organise the amusement content to short or medium on the student setup page if you have a slow internet connection or limited class time.
